Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Desiree Wyatt is an alumna of Barry University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. During her time at Barry, Desiree was the Arts & Entertainment editor and a freelance writer for the Barry Buccaneer newspaper. Additionally, she assisted with, Shaquille O’Neal’s press conference when he graduated from Barry University with his doctorate degree.

As an intern with the City of North Miami, Desiree worked under the direction of the Public Information Officer. In that role, she drafted press releases,-and scripts for the city’s public access television station and assisted with the coordination of the city’s special events and press conferences.

Prior to joining Hemsworth, Desiree worked as an administrative assistant in Barry University’s Career Development Center, where she assisted with event planning, hosted employer information sessions and on-campus interviews, built and maintained relationships with employers, and facilitated marketing and social media promotions for the career center’s events.
