Veronica Figueroa is a bilingual tourism communications professional with an unwavering thirst for storytelling, helping showcase the agency’s clients in new and unique ways. Based in Orlando, her arrival on the Hemsworth team marks the company’s expansion into the Central Florida market.
Prior to joining Hemsworth, Veronica was a communications manager at Experience Kissimmee (CVB), where she was responsible for media outreach to top press across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina. In that position, she researched, developed and executed strategic communications initiatives that created awareness of Kissimmee as a destination of choice for leisure, business and sports travelers. She also worked closely with Visit Florida and BrandUSA, establishing relationships with journalists in Europe and China respectively.
Before joining the Experience Kissimmee team, Veronica was a communications coordinator at Feeding Children Everywhere, an Orlando non-profit that has distributed more than 65 million meals to people in low-income areas. In her role there, she grew the organization’s social media presence across multiple platforms and helped mobilize corporate groups such as Chase Bank give back to their communities.
Veronica is a member of the PRSA Orlando Chapter and graduated from the University of Central Florida, where she earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
My passions are volunteering, spending time with friends and exploring the hidden gems of the Sunshine State and Puerto Rico, where I am originally from.
