Previously, Jacobs served as the first-ever director of public relations for World Travel Holdings’ CruiseOne & Cruises Inc. brands.  In that role, she worked directly with the global travel distributor’s leadership team to craft an integrated B2B and B2C marketing and public relations strategy.  This included developing the companies’ first-ever travel agent media training program and authorized spokesperson team, conducting PR training sessions for more than 1,000 travel agents, hosting A-list media onboard the companies’ National Conference five years running, and helping create unique programs like “Pink Slip Paybacks” and “Operation Vetrepreneur,” which helped the franchise and host agency grow exponentially.

“I worked with Samantha Jacobs for more than three years and on top of managing our communication strategy, she cultivated strong relationships with members of the press in our industry,” said Luis Zuniga, Vice President of Marketing for CruiseOne & Cruises Inc.  “She is an independent, creative thinker and I have no doubt that she will be successful in running her own business.”

Before joining World Travel Holdings, Jacobs held management positions for top-rated New York City- and Baltimore-based public relations agencies.  She began her career in the New York City headquarters of ABC News/Good Morning America.  A seasoned, well-rounded marketing, communications and public relations counselor, Jacobs’ rolodex of A-list journalists has garnered exposure for clients in outlets like CNN, USA Today, Good Morning America, The Wall Street Journal, Cruise Critic, Sports Illustrated, Redbook, Self, Shape, InStyle, Conde Nast Traveler, The New York Times, National Geographic, Travel + Leisure and many more, including the travel and tourism, hospitality, real estate and sports trade media.

“The thing I believe will really set Hemsworth Communications apart is the way we treat the agency-client relationship,” Jacobs continued.  “So many agencies operate in constant fear of losing a client or offending them.  The mission of my team will be to earn the trust of our clients by treating them like family, while still providing candid, honest feedback.  We want to be an integral business partner and strategic advisor, helping affect change and move the needle.”

A proud mother of two, Jacobs is an active member of the South Florida business and philanthropic communities, including membership in the national and local chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and serving as Sunrise, FL publicity chair for The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
